In observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, there will be no curbside services. All PCCLD buildings will be open to the public on Tuesday, Jan. 19 for limited in-person services during regular business hours. A limited number of patrons will be allowed in to library for one hour to browse for and check out materials, and to use the public computers and to make copies. Pueblo City-County Library District will return to its regular business hours and patron browsing and computer use will increase to one hour. Starting Sept. 8, business hours are: Barkman, Lamb, Pueblo West and Rawlings 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Thursday... 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Friday and Saturday 1 to 5 p.m., Sunday at Barkman and Lamb only Giodone, Greenhorn and Lucero 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Thursday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Friday and Saturday Library at the Y 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 4 to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to noon Saturday Upon entry into the library, patrons are asked to provide contact information for tracing purposes and to please stay home if they are sick. Health and safety measures will stay in place. These include: All visitors and employees must wear a facemask while inside the library, children under the age of 10 are exempt. Anyone who cannot tolerate wearing a facemask due to a medical condition will be offered accommodations, but are not permitted to enter any library building without a facemask. Employees and visitors are required to continue following social distancing measures while inside the library. Frequent cleaning and sanitizing of high touch surfaces. Returned library materials are quarantined for 72 hours. Bathrooms are locked but can be opened by staff upon request. Drinking fountains remain turned off. Curbside services for picking up library materials will remain. The hours will now be 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Monday through Saturday. Patrons can also make an appointment by calling the branch directly to schedule a pickup time. All in-person programs and meeting room use is still suspended at this time.

Through our platforms and content, we want to bring our readers the positive and inspiring role of Indian Country." Bob Begel was 19 years old when he was in Vietnam serving as Fleet Marine Force Corpsman, providing direct medical support to Marines in combat from 1969-1970. Among his many awards for service during the War, Bob received the Purple Heart.
