'HAPPY HARVEST' is October's display created by Madill Rose Garden Club Member, Karen Wellman. She says the best thing about autumn is the leaves changing colors and the cooler weather. Her display includes a large cornucopia wreath, a stalk of cotton and a two tiered, silver and gold colored tray filled with pumpkins, berries, leaves and cascading twines of amber and tan beads. A tin cut out truck announces the happy harvest message on a wooden base. All this is placed on top of a black and white blanket ready for the chilly fall evenings. Thank you Karen.

'Star of the Sea' is an acrylic collage with swirling purples and pinks surrounding a happy dolphin. I just love the colors in this painting as well as the unique use of tinfoil to make everything shimmer. Madill Art Club Member, Chloe Lilly first begin this piece in a workshop and about a year later she got another inspiration and finished it up. "Sometimes you have to keep them awhile before they speak to you." Chloe explained about her artistic process. Thank you Chloe for sharing this one of a kind painting with us for the month of September!
