Continuing our celebration of Brown Media Archives 25th anniversary week, today we’re featuring Mary Miller and Margaret Compton and more information about the Virtual Family Day Home Movie event this Saturday! Margie Compton is a media archives archivist who has designed the mural Reel Wall in her office using empty film reels that demonstrate the historical changes to media during the past 100 years. Mary Miller specializes in the Peabody Awards Collections which houses ...and preserves thousands of entries to the prestigious media award which has been hosted by Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication, University of Georgia for 75 years. She enjoys mentoring student workers and helping them find their full potential through working in the media archives. Join us this Saturday from 8 am to 5 pm for the Brown Media Archives Virtual Family Day Event. Enjoy virtual tours and home movie clips from the Brown Media Archives collection on the family day website.
