Our Society has coasters for sale which would make great Christmas presents. The coasters sell for $7.00 each. Come by the library and get yours any Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday from 12:30 til 4:00 or the first Saturday of the month from 10:00 til 2:00.
Come to the Genealogy Library and get in the Christmas spirit. Our librarians can help you with Ancestry.com on our computers. You can view Clement Clark Moore's genealogy. Mr. Moore is the man who wrote the poem "Twas the Night before Christmas when all through the house..." You can also read more about Virginia O'Hanlon who wrote a letter to the editor of the newspaper shortly after her eighth birthday in 1897 asking "Is there really a Santa Claus?"
Flag Day- During WWII the Patriotic Service Organization was formed in Pontotoc County. They had volunteers make display flags for home windows when a mother or wife had a son or husband overseas. Most of the flags had one star but there were a few who had three or four stars. This one represents two sons and a son-in-law of Mrs. Nellie. Blackwell.

"Lest We Forget" contains newspaper articles from the WWII era in Pontotoc County.
In May there are many graduations taking individuals from one step in their lives to another. As we go through life we also look back on those of our past who have served others through the armed forces who have strived to keep this a free country. Memorial Day is in May. Come to the Genealogical library and let our volunteers help you find your ancestors who have served in the past.
We have pictures and the early medical doctor bag belonging to pioneer doctor, H.A. Hodges.
In the library's mini museum, we have the actual court record book from March 1, 1909 for the four men who were hung in the famous picture.
Our library has copies of five different Pontotoc County marriage books for sale. The marriage books begin as early as 1895. We also have copies of 1900, 1910, 1920 and 1930 Pontotoc County census books.
