Readers Get Rewarded!!!! Forty children participated in the Petersburg Public Library’s Summer Reading program (offered June 16th thru August 11th) by reading books, attending Zoom Story Hours, Scavenger Hunting, attending Zoom Science Friday, writing book reviews, and logging these activities in the Beanstack App that the library has used for two summers now. These active kids and their families have read 548 books as a group and completed 186 activities making great memori...es and learning a lot about the local history of Petersburg by following the library reading theme of Digging Deeper into everything. It is the final week of our Summer Reading Program. We have been so happy that so many have participated in the alternative ways we have worked to make reading and learning fun this summer. We have three activities scheduled for this week: our Scavenger Hunt is going on all week, Mr Dave will do Zoom Story hour Thursday @ 10:15am, and Carrie will do Science Friday 8/7 at 2pm. Make sure to keep logging your books and activities into Beanstack and spend those tickets to get entered for the drawing for prizes. Tickets can be earned and entered through the end of this week!!
