To take part, please email [email protected] stating which day you’d like to join and you’ll be sent your personal invite. If you’ve never used Zoom, library staff will help you to get started. #GreatWinterGetTogether #NoLonelyDay

Today at #dropinanddraw , we are taking inspiration from the beautiful Chiwara sculptures created by the Bambari ethnic group in Mali.. Chiwara is a ritual object, a hero figure half antelope, half human born from the union of the sky goddess Mousso Koroni and an earth spirit in the shape of a cobra. The Chi Wara came to earth to teach humans to sow crops, and thus is honored at both sowing and harvest festivals. Use the flowing shapes and curves of the sculptures to create your own #Chi Wara drawing. #DiscoverCreativityNorfolkLibraries @norfolkblackhistorymonth #BlackStoriesMatter
