When you talk about children's literacy and fantastic celebrity story times, one name comes up time and time again- the queen herself, Dolly Parton! Dolly has spent decades getting books in the hands of children that need them with her foundation, Dolly Parton's Imagination Library. Monday at 10 AM, we'll show you one of Dolly's special bedtime readings of Max and the Tag-along Moon by Floyd Cooper. On December 9th, you can also watch the premiere of the new documentary "The Library That Dolly Built" to see how Dolly's Imagination Library came to be. Please join us for a season finale event celebrating our exploration #BeyondBorders, with Mohsin Hamid, author of Exit West! Mohsin will be interviewed by Donna Seaman, editor of Booklist. Exit West, was released in 2017 and debuted on The New York Times Bestseller List. It was a finalist for the Booker Prize, and winner of the L.A. Times Book Prize for Fiction and the Aspen Words Literary Prize. Chicago Public Library chose Exit West as the 2020 One Book, One Chicago selection.
