Join us for a presentation by Tom O'Brien about how to get the most out of the Family Search website. We're looking forward to learning about the newest digital additions. The general meeting is at 10:00 and Tom's talk will begin at 10:30. This year we have been meeting in the Moreland Gallery at the Benton County Historical Museum. The Gallery is on the second floor, and there is an elevator available. After the presentation, please join us at the Annex for refreshments and use of our library. Hope to see you there! CONFUSED?? Please join us on October 12th at 10:30 to understand more about the results of your DNA test. This program will be held in the Moreland Gallery on the second floor of the museum. As you come in the door of the museum, the elevator is to your right. After the program, join us in the Genealogy Library in the annex for refreshments and conversation. Everyone is welcome!
Reminder: The Writers Group's meeting date of May 21 has been changed to May 28. The Annex won't be available on the 21st. Hope to see you on the 28th!
Recently we surveyed our members to find out which countries they were researching. Germany was the number one country of interest! We're all looking forward to learning from LeAnne Trask how to do a better job of finding our German ancestors. The monthly meeting is at 10:00 with time to visit with each other before the program. The program starts at 11:00. We hope you'll be able to join us and, after the program, come over to the Annex for refreshments. If you would like a tour of the library, just ask. See you soon.

NOTICE: The genealogy library is changing its hours on Tuesdays and Saturdays to 1:00 - 3:00, starting February 12, 2019. We would love to give you a tour of our library and help you with your research. Besides our extraordinary collection of materials, we have wi-fi, too! Come by and see us.
Due to the possibility of bad weather, the meeting and program on Saturday, Feb. 9, is canceled. Danell Aukerman's presentation will be rescheduled. We're sorry to cancel, but we'd rather be safe than sorry. See you next month.

On Saturday, October 13, we hope you can join us to hear Sandy Potter's presentation on women's contributions in World War II. The program will start at 11:00 with the regular monthly meeting preceding it at 10:00. Then, after the program, join us at the Annex for refreshments and a chance to use our library. The meeting and program will be in the Methodist Church next to the BCGS Museum in Philomath. We're looking forward to seeing you.
Benton County Genealogical Society's new year of activities starts on Saturday, September 8, 2018. We meet at the College Methodist Church, next to the BCHS Museum. The general meeting takes place at 10:00 with the program at 11:00. For the first program of the year, we'll share what we've discovered over the summer about our families. That's always a fun, informative time, with refreshments! At 12:00 we'll go to the Library in the Annex for our used book sale: various genealogy and history books, a variety of maps, empty photo books with neat covers, large used binders, magazines, and other items. We even have three Oregon State College's yearbooks: 1914, 1915, and 1921. We're looking forward to seeing you.
