There's not enough snow for sledding! Can we make it snow if we read some stories and sing some songs about snow? Let's try!
As if parenting wasn't hard enough already, now all the questions and quandaries of pandemic living have added to the stress. How can we make sure our kids are happy and well-adjusted while also keeping them safe and physically healthy? On Tuesday, Jan. 19, Linda Rich, director of the Bristol Family Resource Center and Allison Matthews-Wilson, director of the Center for Care Coordination at Connecticut Children's Medical Center join us to discuss the best way to meet these challenges. Register for the Zoom session at burlingtonctlibrary.org and comment below with any questions you'd like addressed.
This week's Brain Teaser Challenge is a riddle (thanks to brightside.me). Test your wits and click the link below to submit your answer. Remember, at the end of January we'll be choosing one lucky participant to receive a prize! https://forms.gle/RoU6GhNzR6daWL1T9

Newbies -- New Year, new time! The eleven o'clock hour was running into lunch and nap for some of our friends, so we're going to get the Newbie fun started earlier. 10:15 on Monday, Jan, 11 and Monday, Jan. 25. Visit burlingtonlibrary.org to register.
Due the snowy weather we will be closing at 2pm today, Saturday 12/5. The Animal Encounters program with ImagineNation will go on as scheduled. Be safe, everyone!
Winter stories and songs!
The weather's looking pretty yucky tomorrow and we don't want Santa catching a cold before his big day, so we're postponing Santa Claus Caravan until next Saturday, December 12. That's an extra week to work on your Santa letter and collect donations for our animal friends! Hope to see you next Saturday between 10:30 and 11:30!
Join us to meet some animal friends from Imagine Nation and learn about their incredible adaptations this Saturday. And don't worry -- Animal Encounter doesn't start until 1:00, so you'll have plenty of time to come and wave to Santa and still get home in time! (Grades K-4)
Today is #givingtuesday! We are always appreciative of the support the library is given throughout the year whether it be donations or volunteer time. (Side note: We have some of the best volunteers as part of our Friends of the Burlington Library organization, in our humble opinion of course ) Even something as simple as advocating for the library means a lot to us! Here's a list of 5 simple ways to give today and everyday! #thankyou #burlingtonctlibrary
