Who would like to plant a new tree in their front yard at a low cost? Trees Atlanta has expanded their Yard Tree program to include Brookhaven, Chamblee, Decatur, and unincorporated DeKalb County. Our new initiative Warm Up DeKalb in partnership with A Home for Everyone in DeKalb has officially launched. The Decatur library is accepting donations of new store bought or hand knitted gloves, hats, scarves, and socks. Items can be dropped off during curbside pickup hours at the Decatur library. The library will give all donated items to A Home for Everyone in DeKalb, so that they can provide these items to their guests in addition to MARTA cards and food bags on nights that they provide shelter assistance.
