It's #lovinglibraries Thursday and today--as we experience some of the year's shortest days and longest and darkest nights--we're highlighting books from our collection about nighttime. Find these books (and many more stories about the night sky, night animals, and bedtime) in our catalog at: https://decorah.biblionix.com

We love books. We love the opportunity to get outside. We love downtown Decorah. We'd love for you to participate in our Downtown Decorah Book Walk. This month's story is A Snowy Day by Ezra Jack Keats and it is available in both English and Spanish. Look for book pages in the windows of local Decorah businesses as you enjoy a walk downtown. It will be available through Friday, December 18th. A couple tips: The first book pages are at Vesterheim Norwegian-American Museu...m, continue going down that side of Water Street all the way to Agora Arts, then cross the street. The story continues at LetterWerks - Downtown and goes all the way back to KVIK 104.7. Please note: Sometimes there is a bit of walking between book pages, so the walk is also a bit of a scavenger hunt. Thank-you to Decorah Parks and Recreation, Decorah Community School District, and Decorah Area Chamber of Commerce who partnered with us on this project.
