Public and Private Ash Tree Vaccinations 2015 The Town of Montreal West will be treating the public ash trees in the Northern sector of Town this year. Antidote Arboriculture will be treating the public ash trees with TreeAzin and they are offering a discounted rate to Montreal West residents for the treatment of their private ash trees as well (Residents must contact the company before July 10th 2015 to ensure they benefit from the preferred rate for their private trees). ...Antidote Arboriculture can be contacted via email at [email protected] or at 514-557-2983. Once again the Town of Montreal West will be offering a subsidy to Montreal West residents who decide to treat their private ash trees with TreeAzin. To qualify for the subsidy: 1- The resident must arrange and pay for inspection of their ash tree by a certified arborist. If the tree is not infested so as to render it unsalvageable, the resident must then arrange and pay for treatment by a certified arborist. 2- The resident can choose to use the same arborist (Antidote Arboriculture) that the Town has contracted to vaccinate Town Ash trees. However, it is still the responsibility of the resident to contact the arborist to make arrangements for the vaccination and to pay them directly. 3- The resident must then provide at the Town Hall offices a report including address of vaccination, picture of the tree and diameter of the vaccinated tree. 4- The resident must provide a receipt to the Town for the completed vaccination (with the details outlined in point 3). 5- The vaccination must take place before Labour Day. The Town will reimburse a portion of vaccination as follows: - Trees less than 10cms in diameter: no subsidy - Trees 10cms and larger in diameter: subsidy will correspond to 50% of the cost of the TreeAzin treatment, up to a maximum of $250 per treatment N.B. Diameter is measured 30cms from the ground. The Town has a 2015 budget of $6,010 for the subsidy program.

Si vous avez des questions, veuillez contacter le département des travaux publics au 514-485-8597 ou [email protected] NEW SIDEWALK INSTALLATION ON AVON ROAD (Between Brynmor and Ronald Drive) November 3rd to 11th 2014 The tentative start date for the installation of the new sidewalk on Avon Road (between Brynmor and Ronald Drive) will be on Monday November 3rd 2014. Work will occur daily between 7am and 4:30pm and is expected to be completed by Tuesday November 11th. There will not be work conducted on the weekend. During the course of the work Avon Road eastbound will be completely closed between Ronald Drive and Westminster. Eastbound traffic heading towards Westminster will be detoured to Ronald Drive and northbound up Brock South for the duration of the work. To ease the traffic congestion on these two streets during the course of the work, Ronald Drive will temporarily become one way heading towards Brock South. Please note that the temporary traffic measures will be removed as soon as it is possible to open Avon Road to two way traffic. If you have any questions you can contact the Public Works department at 514-485-8597 or [email protected]
